Default Ze Hunt '06 Begins!!!!!!!

Ze Hunt '06 will begins!!!!!!! So, to begin, for those that don't know, I shall explain!

This is a worldwide scavenger hunt. The prizes are in order of those who can figure out the riddles first in order. You can get your next riddle from me by meeting me at the Great Temple of Balthazar. Once the winner has all 7 items and shows all to me, They WIN!

So here is how this works.

UPDATE: Due to high volumes of people, I am changing the way the contest works!

ALL riddles are now posted below, first person to solve all 7 and bring me their display of items wins! GL!

Some mini quests will be given also at International District 1 of The Great Temple of Balthazar. I will randomly announce these, and they will be mainly trivia games. Ale is free, but I only have so much, so don't keep asking for it, make it last please!

Anyways, so here we go!!!!!!!!

FIRST RIDDLE!

Prophecies: I see you, see you, through these. They are clouded, and take many ships, but still they see you. What am I?

Factions: I am hard, I am skaley, I am sharp and tough. I fall from the slither, and make you skin itch. What am I?

SECOND RIDDLE:

Prophecies: I stick to your skin when you sweat, I tear your flesh, I break you bone. What am I?

Factions: I may have been neglected, but it matters not, for what is inside matters most. What am I?

THIRD RIDDLE:

Prophecies: I am somewhat nasty, gooey, and gross, but I seem to be liked by at least half at most. What am I?

Factions: I am all but nice, and oh so cute, but it is what is hard about me that you seek. What am I?

FOURTH RIDDLE:

Prophecies: Cut to perfection, made to last, you can't find this in Sears or Home Depot, but you can get it from a Flamekeeper! What am I?

Factions: I pinch, I pinch. I hurt you so! Wow oh wow, that sure burns, oh noes! What am I?

FIFTH RIDDLE:

Prophecies: I go well on salads, although I am a bit burnt. I won't ever grow, but I most certainly can sew. What am I?

Factions: Money, money, root of all evil. I come in gold, silver, and am oh so pretty! What am I?

SIXTH RIDDLE:

Prophecies: I am so soft, I am so fuzzy. I salvage into what you brush. What am I?

Factions: Stop right there thief! How dare you steal! This is for the orphans! What am I?

FINAL RIDDLE:

Prophecies: I am many things, one of which is after surgery, another which you chew with. But above all else, I come from Giants across the way. What am I?

Factions: I am the one, and the omega. With this I cause pain and agony. What am I?

GL!!!!!!!

You can obtain one hint from me. Add me to your party, and say HINT. I will give everyone the same hint, so don't switch characters. BUT! In order to get the tip, you have to answer my trivia question! DUN DUN DUN!

Remember, you can find ME at the Great Temple of Balthazar International District 1 at all times for the next 6 hours. Then I gotta sleep!

Comments about the event:

I, and many people I talked to, feel that the Prophecies questions were much easier than the Factions questions. For those, like me, who had started by gathering Factions items, switching to the easier Prophecies questions was no longer an option. Therefore, this event was biased, albeit unintentionally, to Prophecies characters. Recommendation for the next event: Choose one campaign to ensure fairness. Maybe less people will get to participate, but having everyone get the same questions is, imo, a better option.

Sojar was a great host, and put his heart into this event. However, he lacked a schedule and had only one mini-quest. Recommendation: Plan a schedule before-hand, and plan the mini-events around it. Stick to the schedule.

The concept was good, but wasn't exactly fair, as different classes would have varying degrees of difficulty. Warriors would have a relatively easy or hard time, based on the enemies, and Monks would generally have a somewhat hard time unless they took a friend with them to do damage. Recommendation: For the next event, have players look for landmarks or answer trivia questions. This eliminates class imbalance.

Prizes were well-thought out and nicely valued, though the fact that they're such extravagant prizes left quite a sour taste in the mouths of those who were so close but couldn't get one thing. Recommendation: None. This happens whenever events like this are held, though perhaps giving slightly smaller winning prizes and better participation prizes would ease the anger of those who were barely beaten.

Overall, it was a good event, though somewhat poorly-planned and inadvertently biased. The next event should be even better, hopefully with more things evened out. Keep up the good work Sojar, and I'll be looking forward to your next event!

I met Sojar again, and got a completion prize of 7k and 30 Ale for being 9th to complete. When you consider I won a green bow and...something else that I can't remember from the trivia mini-game plus my 9th place reward, I didn't do too bad. I still can't believe how close I was to getting 3rd though!

I'm still laughing at all the people who had just made PvP characters and had NO idea what was going on. That 'Harry Potter' guy who demanded free stuff was an ass though.

<-- Was there as "I Stole This Name"

Thanks again Sojar, was a lot of fun! Looking forward to more in the future.

I saw you there (I was Silencer Of Lambs), and Harry Potter too. You're right, he was an ass!
